In the lap of Jodhpur, surrounded by the hustle and bustle of city life, is a place called Toorji Ka Jhalra (Step Well).
Despite of being the peak location or a go to point for all the tourist, this place has maintained its serene and tranquil nature.
Be it early morning or late afternoon, this place can be enjoyed in all hours of the day and in such place, there is a Restaurant called as Open House.
The restaurant/café is at an elevation and in narrow path next to the stepwell.
This prime location where at one side you see the high elevated fort and the sunset, on the other you get to see the deep stepwell and the vast expansion of the Jodhpur city.
Its an amazing experience to sip a cup of coffee or your favorite wine and get fascinated by the beauty of Jodhpur. Along with this amazing view they serve you hot snacks and a perfect ambiance to sit and plot your thoughts about the beauty of "Blue City" or have personal meetings.
I was spell bounded when I have been here as it was the perfect timing. I was able to see sun setting next to the fort and moon rising with the view of deep step well and the vast spread Jodhpur.

Last time I reviewed about ShivSagar at Seawood Grand Central Mall. This time it’s about their other branch which is newly opened in the Thane Kolshet area. Just below the Lodha Amara, ShivSagar has opened a new outlet with all the better services which are quick and pleasing. As I have already reviewed the restaurant and its food, you can Click here to check it. When you are tired of shopping at Eden store and are in no mood of going and cooking at home, take a pit stop at this restaurant, which lies exactly at the corner of the society. The restaurant has Lord Ganesh idol at the welcome path and then you are taken into a whole different relaxing zone. Keep your buttocks on the soft cushioned chairs, let the exertion of home shopping leave you and the scrumptious food of Shiv Sagar energizes you. The restaurant has a nice seating arrangement, giving privacy to each and every table. Despite being crowded, they do maintain the volume of the guest, so that not ...
I am living in Maharashtra since childhood but never got an opportunity to try the food at an authentic Maharashtrian restaurant. As I don't prefer going to restaurants that serve non-veg food, I have ignored the fact that this can ever be possible. Living in Maharashtra and not trying the authentic Maharashtrian food is not at all acceptable. But finally, while returning from dance class at Dosti Imperia, Thane; my eyes got stuck to the green tag at one of the Maharashtrian Restaurant. It was like a dream for me to find a pure veg Maharashtrian cuisine in Thane. Metkut is a delectable Maharashtrian restaurant. Its biggest strength is the availability of mouth-watering Only pure vegetarian Marathi food. All the dishes here are available all-day round, unlike some other traditional cuisine, which serves only specific items during the specific hour of the day. This restaurant relishes various paintings and text in the interior decoration to reflect not only Marat...
Chayoos - a chai adda for all the Tea lovers. (Serves – Veg & Non-Veg) The craze for Tea was, is, and will always be there. With time people have started looking out for variations that keep their love and addiction interesting. This increasing trend is leading to various Tea Specific Joints not only in India but also abroad. People have started understanding the benefits of Tea and cafes are competing in the market to create an enjoyable experience for their customers. Although Tapri ki chai ka maza he lajawab hai (only the taste of tea from a stall is enjoyable), Chaayos has a great concept too. They have tried their best to bring in a concept of Kulhad. The Tea they serve is in Kullad, which is a great concept for people living in metro city. Kulhad or Kulhar is a traditional handle-less, clay cup from India and Pakistan that is typically not painted nor glazed, and meant to be disposable. Since kulhads are made by firing klin (a type of oven to make kulhad) and are al...
