Metkut - Culinary heritage of Maharashtra, Thane

I am living in Maharashtra since childhood but never got an opportunity to try the food at an authentic Maharashtrian restaurant. As I don't prefer going to restaurants that serve non-veg food, I have ignored the fact that this can ever be possible. Living in Maharashtra and not trying the authentic Maharashtrian food is not at all acceptable.
But finally, while returning from dance class at Dosti Imperia, Thane; my eyes got stuck to the green tag at one of the Maharashtrian Restaurant. It was like a dream for me to find a pure veg Maharashtrian cuisine in Thane.

Metkut is a delectable Maharashtrian restaurant. Its biggest strength is the availability of mouth-watering Only pure vegetarian Marathi food. All the dishes here are available all-day round, unlike some other traditional cuisine, which serves only specific items during the specific hour of the day. This restaurant relishes various paintings and text in the interior decoration to reflect not only Marathi food but also society, culture, art, socialism and history. Metkut is not just a dining place but a place for good tastes to come together and let people take the experience of Marathi culture.

But why the name Metkut, what is it ?

Metkut is an authentic Maharashtrian recipe and its aroma will rejuvenate the childhood memories of each Maharashtrian.
It is a Maharashtrian spiced powder made from dry roasted rice, wheat, and lentils along with spices. It is very easy to digest and can be consumed daily. It has many health benefits too and is treated as a go to spices in the Maharashtrian cusine.

The restaurant has a very comfortable and cozy vibe. The copper made jar and glass is the very 1st thing you will see on the table, which will give you the vibe of typical health-conscious methodology of the most Indian rural places. It is a place where you can fulfil your appetite for spicy Maharashtrian dishes which has the percy blend of tradition, taste, and hygiene.
It was my 1st opportunity to try this food, and till now I have revisited and reordered food from here multiple times.
Best Dish I could suggest are;
  • Spicy hot Wada ⭐⭐⭐⭐
  • Alu wadi - yummy for my tummy ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
  • Solkadi (am not a fan of coconut but it was good) ⭐⭐⭐⭐
  • Misal pav - hot and perfectly spicy ⭐⭐⭐⭐
  • Their sev tomato sabji..ahh so yummy, it has crunchy sev in it... The perfect way how I like it⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
  • Thali, they have special selections in their thali everyday when you order online, and a single thali is sufficient for a person ⭐⭐⭐⭐
  • Shrikhand - the yummiest I have tasted ever. The perfect viscorcity of the dessert makes it the choice of every sweet lover ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
